JMS 총재 정명석과 공범 김지선의 성폭행 사건, 징역 및 제한 처벌
"JMS Church" President Jeong Myeong-seoks Deputy Kim Ji-sun (44, female), who is an accomplice in the sexual assault of a female believer, has been sentenced to a heavy punishment by the court.
On the 20th, the 12th Criminal Division of the Daejeon District Court sentenced Kim to 7 years in prison on charges of attempted rape and ordered her to complete 80 hours of sexual violence treatment program. Kim Mo (51, female), the head of the Complaints Department who was indicted for aiding and abetting attempted rape, was sentenced to 3 years in prison, 80 hours of sexual violence treatment program, and a 5-year ban on working in child and youth-related institutions and facilities.
Two other JMS officials were sentenced to 2 years and 6 months, and 1 year and 6 months in prison, respectively, and were taken into custody. The other two officials were sentenced to 1 year and 6 months of probation for 6 months, and 3 years of probation for 1 year and 6 months.
In the trial held on the 26th of last month, the prosecution imposed a sentence of 15 years in prison on Kim, 10 years on Kim Mo, the head of the Complaints Department, and 3 to 10 years in prison on the other four female officials.
The court stated, "Although it is a first offense without a prior criminal record, the crime was committed during Jeong Myeong-seoks probation period," and explained the reasons for the sentencing of the defendants as being heavily involved in the offense by directly participating or aiding and abetting.
Kim, who is known as Jeong Myeong-seoks "successor," was arrested on charges of being involved in Jeongs attempted rape by handing over pajamas to a female believer, A (29), who is a Hong Kong national, and instructing her to "Sleep here while protecting the Lord."
Kim Mo, the head of the Complaints Department, brought A to the Wolmyeongdong training center, claiming that A had been sexually assaulted by Jeong, but instead said, "That is Gods dramatic love," and on September 14, 2021, took her to Jeong while he was committing the crime in the vicinity...
