Samsung Introduces AI-Powered Image Editing Features in New Galaxy S26 Series

A cupcake that appears to have been bitten into seems to return to its original form in an instant. This remarkable transformation is made possible by Samsung Electronics new AI-based image editing feature set to launch with the Galaxy S series.
On the 18th, Samsung Electronics announced via its newsroom that a new camera function will be included in the upcoming Galaxy S26 series, which is scheduled to be unveiled at dawn on the 26th, Korea time.
In a video released by Samsung, the indented portion of the cupcake in the photo is edited to restore it to its original shape. Samsung teased the new camera feature of the Galaxy S26, saying, "What if you could change a photo from day to night or restore a bitten cake to its original state in just a few seconds?" They further asked, "What if you could seamlessly combine multiple photos into one? Just imagine."
Previously, tasks like these required specialized skills and several hours of work. However, with the new camera feature, users can easily perform these tasks simply by voice commands.
Samsung emphasized that it has innovated the entire camera experience, from shooting to editing, based on the brightest Galaxy camera ever. The latest Galaxy AI integrates advanced creative functions to provide a smooth experience for shooting, editing, and sharing. It offers a more natural, faster, and simpler creative process without the need to search for complex editing tools.
Samsung stated, "At the heart of this evolution is the belief that creativity should not be limited by technical skills or experience. Samsung has continuously redefined the limits of what is possible with mobile cameras."
The company also hinted at even more capabilities to come, further enhancing how users can express their creativity through innovative technology. With these advancements, Samsung aims to empower users, making creative expression accessible to everyone, regardless of their technical background.
