Hotel Shillas Jeju Promise Keeper Program Achieves 80% Participation Rate

On the 20th, Hotel Shilla announced that its collaborative program with the Jeju Tourism Organization, Jeju Promise Keeper, has gained popularity with an average utilization rate of around 80%. This program, designed for participating children, has received high satisfaction ratings due to their direct involvement in ecosystem conservation activities.
A representative from Hotel Shilla stated, "Since the launch of the program, we have been receiving continuous inquiries from customers. If this trend continues, we expect to operate the program at full capacity starting next month." The Jeju Promise Keeper is part of a commitment to Jeju, aimed specifically at children staying at the Jeju Shilla Hotel. Participants explore various aspects of nature, including animals, plants, soil, air, sunlight, and temperature, through sensory experiences that help children naturally understand the importance of respecting life and conserving the environment.
The program includes three main components: Learning Activities where participants learn about seasonal themes, Exploration Activities where they directly explore the local environment, and Conservation Activities where they create crafts using upcycled materials based on what theyve learned.
Additionally, the commitment to Jeju is part of a new tourism culture initiative being promoted by the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province since last year. The purpose of this New Tourism Project is to promote sustainable tourism in Jeju by engaging key stakeholders in the tourism industry, including tourists, tourism businesses, and local residents.
Last December, Hotel Shilla signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Jeju Tourism Organization to collaborate on sustainable tourism and the development of the local community.
