GS25, operated by GS Retail, is operating a MuMuSine convenience store popup store at the Gs25 Door Two Sungsu in the concept of "New Years Greeting MuMuSine Convenience Store Encore Opening" until the 16th.
MuMuSine is a character created by GS25 in May 2022, personifying the Tibetan fox. With its unique expression, it gained popularity online and has garnered over 22,000 followers on Instagram, increasing its recognition.
Last August, GS25s limited edition MuMuSine emoticon download event sold out all 25,000 units in just 15 minutes, and about 50 types of MuMuSine goods were released, further increasing its popularity offline.
In just about a year, GS25 has achieved cumulative sales of 1 million MuMuSine goods and revenue of 1.6 billion KRW, considering it as a successful first step for MuMuSine as a "business manager."
Prior to this popup store, GS25 also opened a booth with the concept of MuMuSine Convenience Store at the Seoul Illustration Fair held from the 21st to the 24th of last month, achieving over 40,000 visitors and being within the top 3 in sales among the 1,000 participating booths, establishing MuMuSine as a popular character.
At the Door Two Sungsu MuMuSine popup store, events such as the sale and discount of 12 types of MuMuSine goods, a limited edition goods giveaway through the MuMuSine photo zone, and the opportunity to make a New Years wish and receive a GS25 mobile gift card will be held.
GS25 plans to utilize the MuMuSine character IP to plan various products, as well as expand its usage in both online and offline service areas and external partnerships, aiming to solidify its position as a playground platform beyond a simple retail store.
