Actor Shia LaBeouf, known for his role in the Transformers series, was arrested on assault charges in New Orleans, Louisiana, during the Mardi Gras festival. According to Reuters, the incident occurred in the early hours of the 17th, where LaBeouf allegedly caused a disturbance at a local bar and assaulted staff members.

Witnesses reported that LaBeouf punched a staff member several times after being asked to leave the establishment. He briefly left the scene but returned to the bar and assaulted the same employee again. Additionally, he is accused of hitting another man in the nose while attempting to calm the situation.

LaBeouf was subdued by bystanders at the scene and was subsequently handed over to the police when they arrived.

The actor is widely recognized for his portrayal of Sam Witwicky in the Transformers films, which gained him significant fame. This is not the first time LaBeouf has faced legal troubles; he was previously arrested during a protest against former President Donald Trump after getting into a confrontation with a passerby.
