LG Electronics Aims for Top 3 in U.S. B2B Appliance Market by Year-End

By the end of this year, LG Electronics aims to achieve its goal of being among the Top 3 in the U.S. B2B (business-to-business) appliance market. The company intends to solidify the formula that LG is the go-to brand for appliances in the B2B sector as well.
Having secured the number one position in the B2C (business-to-consumer) segment in the worlds largest appliance market, LG Electronics is now on the brink of entering the top three in the B2B market, just three years after making a significant push into this sector.
Baek Seung-tae, Vice President and Head of LG Electronics Home Solutions (HS) Business Unit, held a press conference on the 17th (local time) at the KBIS 2026, the largest kitchen and bath exhibition in North America, where he stated, "Despite a sluggish construction market in the U.S. due to rising tariffs, labor costs, and material prices, LG Electronics has recorded an exceptional average growth rate of 45% over the past two years."
The B2B appliance market in the U.S. is estimated to account for about 20% of the total U.S. appliance market, valued at approximately $7 billion annually. While this may seem like a small portion, the B2B market is less sensitive to economic fluctuations compared to B2C. With long-term contracts typically lasting 5 to 10 years, it offers higher revenue stability and is considered a key area for qualitative growth. The ongoing transition to artificial intelligence (AI) is also rapidly increasing new demand in this market.
Currently, the majority of the North American B2B market is supplied through built-in appliances provided by builders. GE and Whirlpool, which have been operating in the U.S. for over a century, have tightly held this builder network and maintained a duopoly. However, LG Electronics is now disrupting this established landscape. Baek noted, "The synergy of proven product competitiveness, design, and ease of management, which we demonstrated in the consumer market, is now paying off in the B2B sector as well." Currently, B2B sales account for 10% of the HS business units revenue, indicating promising growth potential as LG Electronics continues to expand its presence in the B2B appliance market.
