As ticket reservations for the free comeback concert of the group BTS at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul begin, police have issued a warning regarding potential ticketing fraud, including proxy ticket purchasing scams.

On the morning of the 23rd, Park Jeong-bo, Chief of the Seoul Police Agency, stated at a regular press briefing, "We are continuously monitoring crimes that may arise related to ticket sales," adding that there is a risk of fraud and personal information theft. He mentioned that they have requested the deletion of 34 online posts related to these issues.

Among the online posts identified by the police, various amounts have been offered for proxy purchases, ranging from 100,000 to 1,200,000 KRW. The police are concerned not only about proxy purchases but also about fraud involving the resale of tickets at inflated prices, attacks on ticket sales websites causing server disruptions, and scams involving the sale of accommodations near the concert venue at high prices.

Chief Park emphasized, "According to the event organizers, proxy purchases are fundamentally impossible and identity verification is required, making resale also impossible. Therefore, any proposals for such activities are likely related to fraud, and citizens should remain cautious."

BTSs first concert at Gwanghwamun Square, titled BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE|ARIRANG, is scheduled to take place on March 21 at 8 PM. Ticket reservations will begin on the same day at 8 PM via the NOL ticketing platform.

The police anticipate that up to 260,000 people may gather for the event and plan to set up a virtual stadium around Gwanghwamun to ensure effective crowd management on the day of the concert.
