Korea Exchange to List Five New Thematic ETNs on Securities Market
The Korea Exchange announced on the 23rd that it plans to newly list five thematic exchange-traded notes (ETNs) related to domestic stocks on the securities market on the 24th.
The new listings include: △ Kiwoom Power TOP5 △ Kiwoom Leverage Power TOP5 △ Kiwoom Inverse 2X Power TOP5 △ Kiwoom Inverse 2X Semiconductor TOP10 △ Hana Inverse 2X Semiconductor.
The Power TOP5 products are composed of five leading companies in the power equipment industry. The continued market demand for domestic power equipment representatives is reflected in the growth expectations due to the expansion of global artificial intelligence (AI) data centers. To respond to changes in market conditions such as interest rates and exchange rates, two-way high-leverage products (±2x) will also be listed simultaneously.
The Inverse 2X Semiconductor products are designed to track the movements of an index composed of leading domestic semiconductor-related stocks at a -2x ratio. These products were developed to meet various investment needs, including short-term profits and hedging (risk avoidance).
The exchange stated, "ETNs are unguaranteed and unsecured products with the credit risk of the issuer," adding that investors need to check the financial stability of the issuer before investing.
