On the 24th, IBK Investment Securities raised its target price for NCSoft from 235,000 KRW to 280,000 KRW, predicting the success of the new title Aion 2. Additionally, the firm expects a steady increase in profit with the upcoming release of three new titles and four spin-offs next year. The investment recommendation remains a Buy.

Researcher Lee Seung-hoon from the securities firm stated, "Aion 2 has shifted away from the traditional pay to win model, introducing a revenue structure focused on skins, memberships, and battle passes, which alleviates the financial burden on players. We anticipate that the extensive PVE (Player vs. Environment) content will increase user retention time."

Aion 2 is set to launch on November 19. The researcher noted, "There is significant interest in Aion 2, particularly among the existing fan base of Aion. Considering the pre-launch momentum both domestically and internationally, we believe the stock is entering the early stages of a new title cycle."

Furthermore, he added, "Following a return to profitability in the fourth quarter, we expect the positive impact of the new releases to significantly improve performance starting early next year." NCSoft is expected to unveil Aion 2, along with new titles such as Breakers, Timetakers, and Cinder City at the upcoming G-Star 2025 event next month.

However, the absence of new titles and one-time costs are projected to lead to an operating loss of 21.7 billion KRW in the third quarter, falling short of market expectations, which forecasted an operating loss of 6.3 billion KRW. Revenues are also expected to decrease by 9.6% year-on-year, amounting to 363.4 billion KRW.
